CLIFF G. PHOTOGRAPHY PRESENTS ‘FROM THE DARKROOM’

Photos from two years in downtown Los Angeles

Cliff Gagliardo has been photographing since his final year in college and began to shoot on film while attending the Brooks Institute of Photography. Within the last year he has gone completely analogue and is printing regularly in his darkroom.Recently, Cliff exhibited 16 portraits at Dear Raymer House in downtown Los Angeles in a show entitled “Formal/Informal,” in which eight different subjects were presented both in a formal and candid photograph. “From the Darkroom”will feature Cliff Gagliardo’s favorite photographs ranging from his return to southern California in Santa Barbara to his time in downtown Los Angeles.

“From the Darkroom” is a one time event taking place on Monday June 4th at the Jewelry Trades building in downtown Los Angeles, which is located at 220 W. 5th Street Apt. 407, LosAngeles, CA 90013. Light refreshments and entertainment will be provided.

Cliff Gagliardo is the owner of Cliff G. Photography and lives and shoots amid the ongoing Downtown Los Angeles renaissance. He has photographed politicians such as Governor Mitch Daniels and Senator Richard Lugar, as well as musicians ranging from bluegrass legend Ralph Stanleyto neo-soul singer Sam Sparro. He is not so much interested in capturing moments as he is in capturing a feeling and a vibe on black and white 35mm film.
